When you start typing into Google’s search bar, you will see predictions for your search. AKA: autocomplete.

Those are predictions that Google makes for you to make your search process faster so you won’t have to type out the whole search query if you see one you like. You can just click the prediction.

They are especially helpful with searches on mobile.

How Does Autocomplete Work?

According to Google:

When you start a search on Google, you can quickly find info with search predictions. Search predictions are possible search terms related to what you’re looking for and what other people have already searched for.

Google makes search predictions based on factors, like popularity or similarity. When you choose a prediction, you do a search using the term you selected.

The key to this article and funny searches below is that the predictions that show up are things other people have already searched.

With all that said, here are some of my favorite ones I have seen that made me laugh.

Why Do Cats Insist on Being in the Bathroom with You?

Closing the door should be enough to keep cats out of the bathroom. But maybe with a closed door, it makes them anxious knowing their owner is on the other side.

Maybe they fear they are missing out on something fun or important?

Why Do Carrots Help You See in the Dark?

It would be pretty cool if carrots actually helped people see in the dark. But it’s just a myth. Carrots have vitamin A, which is good for vision, but won’t help anyone see in the dark.

Why Do Movies from the 90s Look So Old?

I would assume because in the 1990s they were still using actual film to shoot movies. And they didn’t have all the digital and high def cameras they do now.

Also, try watching a movie from the 1930s or 20s. Those look very old.

Do Babies Wear Long Sleeves in Summer?

Yes. It is possible. I would assume if it’s a particularly chilly day or night, whoever is taking care of the baby would put long sleeves on the baby since the baby can’t change its own clothes.

Also, long sleeves in the summer could help protect the baby from the sun.

My PS5 Sounds Like A Jet Engine

That’s not good. Especially considering that a jet plane can be between 120 and 140 decibels and hearing damage can occur at 85 decibels with too much exposure.

And if you’re playing PS5, it can be assumed you would have prolonged exposure to the sound. I would get that checked out ASAP.

Do Gerbils Watch TV?

If I was a gerbil and all I had to do all day was eat gross food, drink water, and run around in a wheel that gets me nowhere in a small cage, I would hope that my owner would put me near a TV to watch.

Were Dinosaurs Giant Chickens?

It’s possible. Maybe T-rex was just a giant chicken.

Apparently, Brad Pitt does eat a lot in his movies. I have never noticed.

I guess that is a thing. And it’s because certain kinds of bacteria and yeast can cause the Frito / corn chip smell. And overall, it most likely isn’t a problem with the dog.

Can People with Tattoos Go to Heaven?

I would assume that if that fits your religious beliefs, you would still qualify to get into Heaven, even with tattoos.

I don’t think so.

Personally, I wouldn’t want to try and find out the answer to that funny Google search myself.

However, according to this article, there is a myth that rattlesnake dens smell like cucumbers.
